Georgia students seem to be really excited about attending the game against No. 13 Kentucky Wildcats. They’d have to be, other wise they wouldn’t have waited in the rain for tickets.
The game between the two SEC foes doesn’t tip until 6 p.m. ET, but students were out waiting in line for tickets hours before the start of the game.
This was the scene outside Stegeman Coliseum five and a half hours before the game. The gates to Stegeman Coliseum open at 4:30 p.m. Per the team basketball account, fans began lining up as early as 6 a.m.
As for the Wildcats, they’re pretty used to scenes like this.
This will be the first time Kentucky has played at Stegeman since the 2014-15 season. The Wildcats entered that game unbeaten and ranked No. 1 in the country but the Bulldogs led for a good portion of the game. But Kentucky flexed its muscles and pulled away late for a 72-64 win.

Georgia desperately needs a win against the Wildcats to keep its NCAA Tournament hopes alive. Georgia has just one RPI Top-50 win, which came against Tennessee last Saturday. The game will be broadcast on ESPN.
