Georgia basketball to meet Cal State Fullerton in first game of 2017 Wooden Legacy tournament
For the first time in program history, the Georgia Bulldogs will participate in the Wooden Legacy tournament. Named after legendary UCLA coach John Wooden, the Wooden Legacy brings together eight teams from around the country over Thanksgiving weekend. On Tuesday, the tournament’s schedule was released, and the Bulldogs have their first tip-off time.
UGA’s first game will come on Nov. 23 — Thanksgiving night — against Cal State Fullerton and will air on ESPNEWS. Tip-off is scheduled for 10:30 p.m. ET on the Fullerton campus, where the tournament is being played. The Wooden Legacy schedule is as follows:
Thursday, Nov. 23
Game 1: Saint Mary’s vs. Harvard, 4 p.m., ESPNEWS
Game 2: Saint Joseph’s vs. Washington State, 6:30 p.m., ESPN3
Game 3: Georgia vs. Cal State Fullerton, 10:30 p.m., ESPNEWS
Game 4: San Diego State vs. Sacramento State, 1 a.m. (next day ET), ESPNU
