Football season may have arrived, but there’s still some basketball stuff in the headlines for UGA.

On Monday, the Bulldogs appeared to make a late addition to this year’s class when Michael Peake announced on Twitter that he had committed to UGA.

Peake is a 6-foot-7, 220-pound forward from Kansas City. He was originally part of the 2020 recruiting class, but revealed on Twitter that he was recently reclassified to the 2019 class after meeting college entrance requirements.

UGA’s 2019 recruiting class is considered to be the best in school history, and it’s led by 5-star guard Anthony Edwards, who was ranked as the No. 1 overall prospect in the country. The Bulldogs had five other signees in the 2019 class, along with Northeastern transfer Donnell Gresham.

It will be a massive roster overhaul for UGA for the upcoming season.
