Georgia softball cruises to victory in Athens Regional

Georgia softball recorded 6 runs during a win against Harvard in the Athens Regional.

Georgia defeated Harvard, 6-2, in the opening game of the 2018 NCAA Athens Regional.

The Bulldogs jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning before adding another run in the 3rd and 2 runs in the 5th.

Georgia improved its record to 43-11 with the victory. Harvard dropped to 23-17 after entering the matchup with a 2-game winning streak.

Cortni Emanuel: The senior had 2 hits, including a double and one RBI.

Alysen Febrey: The sophomore had 2 hits, including a double and one RBI.

Justice Milz: The freshman hit a solo home run, her 13th of the season.

Mary Wilson Avant: The sophomore starter allowed 0 earned runs and struck out 8 batters in 5.0 innings.
