Georgia is prepared to welcome back its coaches and athletes who participated in the Olympics, as well as those scheduled to compete at the upcoming Paralympic Games.

The school announced Monday that a “Welcome Home” reception will be held on the campus from 5-7 p.m. on Aug. 31. The event will take place at Butts-Mehre Heritage Hall, and the public is invited to attend.

Georgia had an impressive showing at the Olympics. As mentioned by the school in a release, the school’s contingent of 37 athletes and coaches represented the largest number in school history. If the University of Georgia were a country, the 10 medals its representatives won would rank 27th among the 207 nations that participated.
