The NCAA women’s indoor track and field national championship belongs to Georgia for the first time ever as the Bulldogs used a balance effort in College Station, Texas to win the trophy.

The Bulldogs scored 61 points, a program record, and outlasted a trio of SEC rivals in Arkansas (49), Kentucky (34) and Florida (32).

The star of the meet for Georgia was senior Keturah Orji, who became only the second person in history to win three NCAA indoor women’s triple jump titles.

Kate Hall, who won the national title in the long jump, was the other personal title winner for the Bulldogs.

Georgia men’s track and field team had a good finish themselves, ending up in third behind Florida and USC.
