Georgia hosts Appalachian State at 6:15 p.m. Saturday at Sanford Stadium. It offers the first chance for UGA recruiting to get a big boost by how the team performs in 2017.

Which recruits will be in town?

DawgNation has confirmed the following players will visit Saturday. Of course, the list is subject to change, but we opted to wait until Friday to post these names to give players a chance to confirm their plans.

Jamaree Salyer now plans to make his college decision during the early signing period. (Jeff Sentell/ SEC Country)/Dawgnation)

The biggest name in Athens on Saturday will be 5-star Pace Academy (Atlanta) offensive lineman Jamaree Salyer. Salyer is rated as the nation’s No. 1 offensive guard and as the nation’s No. 7 overall prospect for 2018 by the 247Sports composite.

He has yet to make his college commitment. It appears Clemson, Georgia, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Stanford are his top schools.

Salyer, a 5-star priority, likely will see the first start for his former high school teammate, Georgia freshman offensive tackle Andrew Thomas. He was one of the biggest surprises of fall camp for the Bulldogs.

A few commits — Dominick Blaylock, J.D. Bertrand, Azeez Ojulair — told DawgNation that they will not be able to make it for various reasons.

Other games, such as Alabama-Florida State and home games for Clemson and Auburn, will attract some of Georgia’s top targets for 2018, 2019 and 2020.
