High school football season is now underway and Georgia has its eyes on flipping a 3-star cornerback at Metro Atlanta powerhouse Grayson High.
On this episode of DawgNation’s recruiting show Before The Hedges, our insiders Jeff Sentell and Kaylee Mansell break down what it’s going to take for Georgia to land 3-star CB Preston Glasco.
Glasco is committed to UConn, but he’s seen very little action so far in his career due to injuries. He has elite measurables and length, and that’s why the Dawgs will be watching the first few games of his senior year closely.
He’s got the tools. The Dawgs just need to see him put it all together on the field. Georgia currently does not have a cornerback commitment in its 2027 class. The 6-foot-2-plus Glasco seems like the most likely option to fill that void at this time.
The first week of the high school season allowed for the debut of the popular weekly “Mansell’s Details” segment for the 2026 season. That’s when the Hedges crew goes full “SportsCenter” on trying to share the highlight plays from current UGA commits and targets.
This week’s episode will feature discussion and highlights from the season debuts for 4-star OL commit Miller Westerfield, 2028 RB target Kevin Hartsfield and 2029 WR target Jordan Peacock.
Westerfield is a nasty OL at Roswell High. Hartsfield is the nation’s No. 1 RB prospect for his class. Peacock scored two touchdowns against Roswell in a breakout performance for the budding Walton star.
This week’s show also continues our “Next Generation” series, looking at Georgia’s top first-year players for 2026. The featured freshman for this week is former Cambridge WR Craig Dandridge. The 2025 Atlanta Journal-Constitution “Super 11″ selection has already made quite an impression in his first fall camp, including holding some of the team’s key leaders accountable.
The series kicked off last week with first-year IOL Zykie Helton.
The show concludes with a quick 2027 class breakdown and a look at where the program’s 20 commitments currently stack up across the national recruiting rankings.
