UGA has had some notable quarterback-running back combinations throughout the years, but Aaron Murray and Todd Gurley are among the team’s best.

Both are in the NFL now after illustrious careers with the Bulldogs, and the two players had a chance to catch up with each other when the Kansas City Chiefs beat the St. Louis Rams 24-17 in the teams’ final preseason game on Thursday night.

The two didn’t simply shake hands at midfield, they cared about their friendship enough to have a present prepared.

Murray, who is competing for the top backup spot with the Chiefs, was 11 of 15 passing for 86 yards and a touchdown. Unfortunately, Gurley is still rehabbing from his torn ACL, but should be on the field once the regular season begins.

Generally this is a gesture performed out on the soccer field, but, on this occasion, it seems extremely fitting. Hopefully, these two incredible Bulldogs will continue in their success at the next level.
