Justin Fields’ commitment was so big, a TV station used a helicopter to stream it
It’s safe to say that Justin Fields‘ commitment to the Georgia Bulldogs is a big deal. How big? Helicopter big.
Media were not admitted into the pep rally where Fields announced his commitment to the Bulldogs on Friday. One local news station, FOX 5 Atlanta, got creative and flew a helicopter over Harrison High School in Kennesaw, Ga., to live stream the event.
Naturally, Twitter was pretty shocked by this development.

This is incredible video. They've brought in a helicopter for this. For a high school football commit: https://t.co/4jGmAlfuUY

I have now seen everything. Local news has a helicopter zooming in on QB Justin Fields' closed prep rally before his decision.

Fields is a huge add to the Georgia class. His commitment means that Georgia has landed a 5-star quarterback three straight years, as Fields follows Jacob Eason and Jake Fromm. But this clearly is Kirby Smart‘s biggest addition to date, especially considering that Fields was a one-time Penn State commitment.
With the addition of Fields, Georgia now has the No. 11 class in the country for 2018, leapfrogging Florida State and Texas A&M.
Fields is the eighth No. 1 overall commit to pick an SEC since 2000.
