BEAVERTON, Ore. — Potentially the next great running back at UGA was set to make his commitment this week at The Opening, Nike’s invite-only prospect camp.

That is still the case. Now there is a little more clarity for that event.

Toneil Carter told DawgNation on Wednesday night he will release a commitment video sometime on Friday when he arrives at Nike’s world headquarters for the premier recruiting event. He updated that on Thursday afternoon to delay that decision on Friday, but still said he planned to commit this week at The Opening.

What are the chances the nation’s No. 5 running back chooses the Bulldogs? The 247Sports Crystal Ball feature currently places the chances he chooses Georgia at 85 percent. Texas A&M and LSU follow after that with an eight percent chance of landing Carter.

The 5-foot-11, 195-pound prospect is rated as the nation’s No. 119 overall prospect for the Class of 2017. The speedster from Langham Creek High School near Houston has clocked a 10.5 showing in the 100 meters during his prep career.
