Despite a debilitating loss to Alabama this past Saturday, UGA still received some good news on the recruiting trail.

If you read Monday’s rewind, you’d know that priority UGA targets were not affected by the loss. That was the same response on Monday.

A 5-star’s mother and a 4-star wide receiver gave UGA fans a reason to smile after the forgettable weekend.

Here are today’s must-reads

UGA hosted Issac Nauta on an official visit this past weekend, and his mother told the AJC’s DawgNation.com that it could not have gone better for her and her son.

Nauta, a 5-star tight end from IMG Academy, is arguably the biggest remaining offensive target for UGA.

His mother shared a very direct statement about her visit, and it should be considered fantastic news for UGA.

She also shared a very funny moment that happened on her son’s official visit. You can read all about it right here.

2. 4-star WR says UGA now leads after visit

Every recruit that DawgNation.com talked to shortly after the Alabama game wasn’t concerned about UGA’s performance.

The same could be said about 2017 4-star wide receiver Shawn Smith.

Smith told DawgNation that UGA is now his leader after taking an unofficial visit this past weekend for the Alabama game.

The Brunswick High School standout is teammates with UGA offensive line target D’Antne Demery. They want to continue playing together in college.

3. Mystery man takes official visit to UGA

About a month has passed since Levi Onwuzurike picked up a UGA offer, and the Bulldogs have already hosted him on an official visit.

Onwuzurike, a 3-star defensive end from Allen, Texas, is the teammate of the nation’s No. 1 offensive tackle, Greg Little. The teammates were on an official visit this past weekend for the Alabama game.

How did UGA go from not evaluating Onwuzurike to hosting him on a visit? His coach details all right here. He also tells the story of how his player picked up a UGA offer.

4. UGA still flirting with USC commit

A scout said Josh Imatorbhebhe is the best receiver in Georgia. (Sonny Kennedy/Special)/Dawgnation)

A scout told me that Southern California commit Josh Imatorbhebhe is the best wide receiver in the state of Georgia.

But it’s going to be hard for UGA to flip him away from USC. His brother, Daniel, is a freshman tight end at USC. The brothers would like to play together in college.

So what is UGA pitching to Josh? Hear what he has to say in this video right here.
