Touchbacks, out of six attempts, for Collin Barber on kickoffs, along with a 61.8 total average. Marshall Morgan had two attempts, neither of which were touchbacks, but had a 62.0 average. Richt said Morgan tweaked his groin in practice this week so they gave Barber a shot at kickoffs in practice and then the game.

The average score of this week’s SEC games. So a lot of offense, but an average margin of victory of 25 points.Yes, the opponents were mostly directional schools, but Texas A&M also thumped a ranked Arizona State, 38-17, Alabama beat a ranked Wisconsin, 35-17, and Auburn beat Louisville, 31-24.

The number of SEC teams to lose this week: Vanderbilt, which is Georgia’s next opponent. And the next-closest game was Georgia’s following-week opponent, South Carolina, which had a four-point win over North Carolina.
