But if you’re putting stock into what outspoken Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield is saying on the sidelines Monday during the Rose Bowl contest with UGA, you might be left with a different impression.

Following a missed field goal from Bulldogs kicker Rodrigo Blankenship late in the first quarter, Mayfield was caught on ESPN cameras giving what appeared to be a throat slash motion and yelling ‘It’s over.”

The score at the time was 14-7 Oklahoma, and to his credit, Mayfield did help the team down the field for a third touchdown in as many tries following the gesture. Still yet, the move isn’t likely to sit well with the UGA faithful, many of whom already have some questions about the sportsmanship of the Heisman Trophy winner.
