Rahshaun Smith has announced that he has de-committed from Clemson.

Smith, who is ranked as the country’s No. 1 inside linebacker, named Auburn and LSU as future official visit destinations on Wednesday.

The IMG Academy standout said on Twitter that he needed to take visits to make sure Clemson was the right school for him, and Smith said his former school did not allow him to officially visit other schools.

The 6-foot-3, 239-pounder showed up to UGA’s Dawg Night prospect camp unannounced last month and was spotted speaking with UGA assistant Mike Ekeler. The following day, Smith traveled to Auburn.

He is ranked as the No. 55 prospect in the country.
