Did the state’s No. 3 prospect include UGA in his Top 7?
Robert Beal told DawgNation on Sunday at the Nike Regional that he’s not yet to the point of setting up a Top 5 or a Top 10.
He’s now at that point less than a day later.
The nation’s No. 3 weakside defensive end prospect for the Class of 2017 released a Top 7 on social media Monday night and included UGA in the mix.
The 6-foot-4, 235-pounder had UGA among his Top 7 schools, but they were not in order. Alabama, Florida State, LSU, Miami, Tennessee and Texas made the cut. The rising senior at Norcross High School de-committed from Notre Dame last month.
Beal made it clear on Sunday that he will be a package deal with his sister. He said the chief reason why he backed off his pledge to the Fighting Irish is that his sibling was not admitted to the school.
He’s rated as the nation’s No. 36 player overall in the Class of 2017.
