WATCH: Georgia fans bring back ‘Light Up Sanford’ for first night game of season
The University of Georgia has numerous traditions associated with a game Between the Hedges in Athens.
Students and fans of the Bulldogs may be creating a new one to pair with one of the best.
Between the third and fourth quarters, when the UGA Redcoat Band plays Krypton, fans traditionally wave their arms up and down to the beat. At the Auburn night game last year, students added the touch of flashing their cellphone lights.
And on Saturday night, the movement expanded to the whole stadium, creating an awesome visual and moment.

Pretty cool the way UGA fans lit up Sanford Stadium as they serenaded the start of the 4th quarter. pic.twitter.com/RpjTJZzEvR

Hopefully we’ll see this display again at Georgia’s next night game against Samford in two weeks.
Aside from Jacob Eason’s injury, it has been smooth sailing in the Bulldogs’ first game of the 2017 season. They lead Appalachian State 31-7 late in the fourth quarter.
