COLUMBIA, S.C. — Georgia junior defensive back Tyrique McGhee“made the bus” as coach Kirby Smart likes to say, so he could be available against South Carolina.
Freshman receiver Kearis Jackson (hamstring) is also on the final dress roster. Jackson was not on the preliminary dress list released on Saturday in the Williams-Brice Stadium press box.

McGhee suffered a broken bone in his foot in the Bulldogs’ first scrimmage, on Aug. 11, and did not play in Georgia’s 45-0 win against Austin Peay last week.
Smart has talked about the importance of having McGhee back in the secondary, since the Bulldogs lack experienced depth in the secondary.
With field temperatures expected to reach 100 degrees in Williams-Brice Stadium, the conditioning and depth for both teams figure to be tested.
Georgia has all three of the receivers sidelined by injuries last week ready to play. Seniors Terry Godwin (calf) and Jason Stanley (quad) both looked 100 percent in practice, while Jackson also practiced this week.
Freshman defensive back Trey Bishop is not on the travel squad, though he was on the preliminary list released.
There were various reports that defensive lineman Jonathan Ledbetter was practicing with an ankle brace, but Ledbetter is on the dress list and is a team captain for the game.
