ORLANDO, Fla. — Welcome to All-American Week. There are national events of interest to UGA recruiting with signees and recruiting targets in Florida and Texas starting up over the next few days.

4-star safety Lewis Cine signed with Georgia on Dec. 19. He’s one of the two Bulldog signees at the 2019 Under Armour All-America game. (Jeff Sentell/DawgNation)/Dawgnation)

It starts today from the Mariott World Village with media day for the Under Armour All-American Game.

DawgNation will see two signees and three remaining targets for the 2019 class in that event.

It will then extend out to the All-American Bowl out in Texas. The whirlwind will extend out to San Antonio with big-time UGA targets Jadon Haselwood and Tyrique Stevenson making their college decisions known as early enrollees on Jan. 5.

Haselwood and Stevenson are part of a slew of other UGA signees and targets competing at that event. 5-star signees Dominick Blaylock, Nolan Smith, Travon Walker will all be at the event, among others.

That roll call looks like:

SIGNEES

5-star ILB Nakobe Dean signed with the Bulldogs on Dec. 19. (Jeff Sentell/DawgNation)/Dawgnation)

5-star ILB signee Nakobe Dean (Horn Lakes, Miss.) — The nation’s No. 1 ILB prospect for 2019 according to the 247Sports Composite ratings. The early enrollee signed with the Bulldogs back on Dec. 19 in what was the biggest news boom of the day for the Bulldogs. Dean sent his LOI to the UGA staff via text just moments before he went live for his decision on ESPNU.

4-star safety target Lewis Cine (Cedar Hill, Tex.) — The nation’s No. 3 safety prospect for 2019 committed to UGA back in early October and was all the way with the program after that. He had very little drama after he chose the Bulldogs.  Cine will also enroll early.

TARGETS

5-star OT target Darnell Wright (Huntington, WVa.) — There was the clear appearance Tennessee is the team to beat here. He keeps making those trips to Knoxville and not making trips that are supposedly planned to other SEC rivals. Wright is the nation’s No. 1 OT on the composite for this cycle. He rates as the nation’s No. 10 overall recruit. He has not made a commitment to any program at this time.

4-star CB target Kaiir Elam (North Palm Beach, Fla.) — Elam rates as the nation’s No. 7 cornerback prospect for this cycle. That slots him at No. 61 overall. He’s had a long list of suitors for some time, but he’s always been a prospect that wanted to wait until the traditional signing day on Feb. 6.

4-star WR target George Pickens (Hoover, Ala.) — The long-time Auburn pledge remains a player to watch on the recruiting radar for the rest of this cycle. The long and athletic wideout from national power Hoover High in Alabama continues to bring up Georgia among his potential alternate options.

Practices will take place each day leading up to the 6 p.m. kickoff on Jan. 3.

  • Dec. 30: 6:30-8:15 PM
  • Dec. 31: 10 AM-12:15 PM
  • Jan. 1: 10 AM-12:15 PM
  • Jan. 2: 10 AM-11:30 AM
