DESTIN, Fla. — Georgia basketball will play traditional powerhouse Kentucky along with Texas A&M in home-and-home series next season in addition to the Bulldogs appointed permanent rivals.

The rivals which mandate yearly home-and-home series, as designated by the SEC, are Auburn, Florida and South Carolina.

Other SEC teams that will be coming to Stegeman Coliseum next season, as announced by the league office on Wednesday are: Alabama, Arkansas, Ole Miss and Tennessee.

“I am extremely excited about this season’s SEC home schedule,” UGA coach Tom Crean said in the school release. “The Bulldog Nation gave us tremendous support last season. I’m still blown away by the fact we broke our total attendance record and had sellouts for just about every SEC game.

“We need to continue to build on those numbers and this SEC schedule is one I know our fans can get excited about.”

Georgia also has road games at LSU, Mississippi State, Missouri and Vanderbilt.

UGA finished 11-21 last season and loses nine players off the 2018-2019 roster.

Crean, however, has recruited a 2019 class ranked in the Top 10 in the nation.

Five of the Bulldogs signees are ranked in the Top 100 in the nation, including No. 1 shooting guard Anthony “Antman” Edwards.

Edwards is ranked No. 1 or No. 2 overall nationally by virtually every scouting service.

Other newcomers and their recruiting ranking include:

• Christian Brown (No. 60 by ESPN.com)

• Jaykwon Walton (No. 67 by ESPN.com)

• Sahvir Wheeler (No. 76 by ESPN.com)

• Toumani Camara (No. 96 by ESPN.com

Graduate transfer guard Donnell Gresham helped lead Northeastern to the NCAA Tournament.

Those newcomers will join five returning letterwinners, including rising junior Rayshaun Hammonds, the team’s leading returning scorer and rebounder.
