Todd Gurley is about to get paid. The former Georgia running back is close to finalizing a record-breaking contract extension with the L.A. Rams that will keep him in Los Angeles for another six seasons.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Gurley and the Rams are in the process of completing a 4-year extension $60 million including $45 million guaranteed, one of the most lucrative contracts ever signed by a running back. According to Schefter, it’s the largest sum ever guaranteed to a running back as well as the largest per year average for a running back.

Gurley was drafted by the Rams 10th overall in the 2015 NFL Draft. In three seasons with the organization, Gurley has rushed for 3,296 yards and 29 touchdowns. Last season, he put up a career-high 1,305 yards and 13 touchdowns as part of a revitalized Rams offense on his way to being named to his second Pro Bowl and first All-Pro first-team selection.
