This year’s Georgia/Georgia Tech game did not play out like most fans expected. There was still plenty of that “Clean Old-Fashioned Hate,” but not nearly as much action as last year’s epic 8 overtime shoutout. This year’s tilt between the two long-standing rivals was more of a traditional defensive battle with the Dawgs outlasting the Yellow Jackets, 16-9.
On a night when the high-powered UGA offense stalled, the Dawgs D played its best game of the year. The win not only gave Georgia 11 victories on the season, it also extended their win streak against Tech to a school record-setting 8th in a row in the series. Proving once again, the Dawgs definitely “run this state!”
