ATLANTA — Georgia football coach Kirby Smart said D’Andre Swift was expected to play all week, but it was Brian Herrien getting the start on Saturday.
Swift, however, entered the game on the second play as a slot receiver.
Swift, who has a left shoulder injury, was one of three UGA team captains and was in the starting lineup for the Bulldogs (11-1) against LSU (12-0) in the SEC Championship Game.
Defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt, held out against Georgia Tech, was also in uniform.
Georgia’s receiving corps was down its top receiver, Lawrence Cager out after having surgery on his ankle on Nov. 29.
George Pickens wasn’t injured, but the freshman was sitting out the first half on account of being suspended following a third quarter altercation in the 52-7 win over Georgia Tech.
