Georgia football podcast: After JT Daniels’ transfer, UGA QBs ready for competition

Beginning of the show: Georgia got some unexpected good news Thursday when former five-star quarterback from USC, JT Daniels, announced he was transferring to UGA. However, it stands to reason that news might not have seemed good to some other Bulldogs quarterbacks. However, I’ll explain on today’s show why many of the other UGA quarterbacks — or in one case, a soon-to-be UGA quarterback — have maintained a great attitude about Daniels’ arrival and declared their intentions to compete hard with him and the other players at their position.

Five-minute mark: I’ll discuss UGA coach Kirby Smart’s statement about the tragic circumstances surrounding George Floyd’s death.

10-minute mark: I’ll discuss four-star offensive lineman Dylan Fairchild’s UGA commitment and his eloquent statement about why Georgia is the right school for him.

15-minute mark: DawgNation analyst Jon Stinchcomb joins the show. Some of the topics discussed include…

  • Jon’s thoughts as a former offensive lineman on what Fairchild brings to UGA
  • And a prediction about how Daniels fits into UGA’s quarterback picture

35-minute mark: I take a look at other SEC headlines including former five-star Miami running back Lorenzo Lingard announcing he’s been granted eligibility at his new school, Florida.

40-minute mark: I discuss five-star cornerback Tony Grimes’ inclusion of UGA in his top four.

End of show: I share the Gator Hater Updater.
