Georgia football is the No. 1 topic every day on DawgNation Daily — the daily podcast for Georgia Bulldogs fans. Catch up on everything happening with UGA athletics with host Brandon Adams and the cast of DawgNation experts as they discuss UGA coach Kirby Smart’s quest to return the Bulldogs to the top of the SEC and break down the latest Georgia football recruiting news. On episode No. 571 (Nov. 6, 2017) of the podcast, UGA fans can hear a discussion about why Saturday was a good day for UGA.

Georgia football podcast: UGA a big winner on Saturday in more ways than one

Beginning of the show: Saturday was a good day for Georgia. The Bulldogs clinched the SEC East ― thanks to an Ole Miss win vs. Kentucky ― and knocked off South Carolina 24-10. I’ll talk on the Monday show about why the weekend was worth celebrating, even though Kirby Smart’s postgame comments were all business.

10-minute mark:  I discuss another step forward for UGA quarterback Jake Fromm against the Gamecocks on Saturday.

15-minute mark: DawgNation’s Chip Towers joins the show. Some of the topics covered include:

  • The significance of winning the division in Smart’s second season
  • Fromm’s performance vs. South Carolina
  • Whether UGA will remain No. 1 in the College Football Playoff rankings
  • A preview of the game vs. Auburn on Saturday

30-minute mark: I discuss some of the top SEC games from last Saturday including Alabama-LSU, Florida-Missouri, Auburn-Texas A&M and Tennessee-Southern Miss.

35-minute mark: We mock national radio host Colin Cowherd, who a week ago predicted both Ohio State and Penn State would make the playoff over UGA.

End of show: I announce how DawgNation Daily listeners and viewers can win an “Own The East” T-shirt.
